Note that the lnf tool is used by things such as GHNS, and so on. It'd be very surprising if the adoption command runs and then at the next sunrise or sunset, the global theme is reset. Also God knows where else the lnf tool is used.
Rather than tackle all at once, let's maybe handle it bit by bit, it can be improved in incremental steps. To be frank, this MR already looks pretty good to me and it is quite a shame that we blew 6.5 milestone!
