You know what, I think you're probably right. The API isn't locked down until 2.0.2 is released, it could still change if we get unlucky. I took out the #ifdef branch for ddca_init2() for now, going to stash that part locally and submit as separate MR when the next release actually comes out. I'll merge this with just the function exposed by 2.0.0.
